Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated journalist and businesswoman. She is the author of fifteen books, and she is co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington works as an writer, journalist, TV host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece she moved to England at the age of 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. At 21 she became president of the renowned debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student who was elected to this position. After her graduation, she was a prominent right-wing syndicated reporter. After a few years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current political landscape. The fame of Arianna helped in attracting several famous contributors. Arianna gained notoriety in 2003, when she ran as an independent in California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. In addition, she was also the leader of a Detroit campaign to encourage fuel-efficient cars. Forbes placed her at 12 on its top 10 list of Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their list of the top 100 in the year 2010. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made the president of that media group which included many then-existing AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter born to Konstantinos a management advisor and journalist. Though she was close to her father, it was her bond with her mother that shaped her life. From her early years, she displayed leadership qualities that remain highly respected. When she was 16 years old the girl moved in the United Kingdom for her higher education. In Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she joined the debating Society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. In 1972, she earned a master's degree in Economics. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic, and an anchor on TV. She also appeared in the show Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books, utilizing editorial guidance from him.
