Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. Amy Smart was born and was raised in California, United States of America. Amy Smart started the modeling profession in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. After a very difficult struggle, she landed a role as "Starship Troopers" starring in Starship Troopers. It was a hard time for her to make the transition from modeling to acting since the models were never thought of as actors and were mostly assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy was determined to succeed and was eventually offered larger roles starting in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform more prominent role. Amy was finally recognized for her efforts in the last decade. The actress continued to appear in major films, such as Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved regular part of the cast.
