Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain (born March 24 1977) is an American producer and actress. She is most well-known for her performances in films with feminist themes. She has won numerous awards including an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine listed her as one of the 100 most influential persons on the planet in 2012. Chastain began to develop an interest in acting from an early age and made her professional performance debut in the year 1998, playing Shakespeare's Juliet. She was a student at the Juilliard School and was then signed to a talent-holding deal with John Wells, a television producer. She appeared as regular guest on various television shows, and was also a part of various stage productions. Chastain's first film appearance was in Jolene (2008) when she was the age of 31 years old. In 2011, Chastain achieved her breakthrough with six film releases including The Tree of Life (2011), Take Shelter (2011) as well as The Tree of Life (2012). In her roles as an aspiring socialite and a CIA analyst, she received Academy Award nominations in The Help (2011) and Zero Dark Thirty (2012). The most commercially successful films were the science fiction films Interstellar (2014) and The Martian (2015), and the dark film It Chapter Two (2019). Chastain's strong-willed roles in the dramas The Most Valuable Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), Molly's Game (2017) and Scenes from a Marriage (2021) were also praised. In the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (1921), she was Tammy Faye Bakker. She won the Academy Award as Best Actress. Tammy Wynette was the miniseries George & Tammy (222). Chastain is the founder of production company Freckle Films, which was founded to encourage the inclusion of diverse film makers. She is an shareholder in the soccer club Angel City FC. She is vocal about mental health issues as the issue of gender and race equality. Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo (fashion executive) is her spouse.
